The term pegging wasn’t actually coined until 2001. Pegging is a form of anal play and stimulation. Traditionally it was to describe the act of a woman (CIS gendered) anally penetrating a man (also CIS gendered). But in 2022 things have evolved and pegging is one of them! I think it’s fairly safe to use the term pegging for any instance where one partner wears a strap on dildo/toy and anally penetrates the other person.
Pegging involves a few different dynamics; power play, anal play, (potential) restraints, etc. So as always - talk to your partner(s) long before busting out a 12 inch strap-on in the heat of the moment during some sexy play. Gotta have that consent! But that being said… oh my gosh it’s a good time! I encourage everyone to safely, and consensually explore anal play - and when you’re ready pegging!
There are many ways to dip your toe into butt stuff without automatically jumping straight to pegging. Rimming (tongue/licking), fingers, plugs and smaller toys are all wonderful to start out.
So once you’ve got consent, and you’ve explored each other’s bodies - let’s get to pegging! First you need to choose a strap on set up that works for you. There are many different ‘rigs’ (if you will). Some come with a nylon strap set up that you can step into and adjust to your body size, others are leather, and some are an underwear style harness. Prices vary of course, so choose one that works for your budget, lifestyle and that you will feel super sexy in. Personally when I first started experimenting with strap ons, I found that the strappy style harnesses dug into my curves and made me feel chubby, even though I wasn’t - but body image is a journey! So I’ve experimented with a few styles until I found one that fit me well, and that I felt like an absolute gender bending GODDESS in!!!
Then it's time to pick a dildo that is compatible with your harness. There are far too many options to cover here (anal) or here (dildos). We here at Mommys Toy Shop would be happy to help you find the right fit!
One last friendly reminder - stock up on some lube! Double check with your toy manufacturers instructions as to what type is best suited to toy care. Personally I enjoy a silicone lube, even when my toy recommends a water based lube.
